Roots College International (or RCI) is a university college offering University of London undergraduate external degree programmes in Pakistan. Roots College International is part of Roots School System. RCI along with BSc degrees in Economics and Management and Social Sciences, offers GCE O-level, IGCSE and GCE A-level.
The institution was established in April 1988 at 74 Harley Street, Rawalpindi, by Mrs. Riffat Mushtaq (Aizaz-e-Fazeelat). In the school's formative years she introduced the International Montessori Method of education. Roots was a pioneer institution in having introduced an exclusive Montessori in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad in 1988.
The school offers continuous education from Montessori to undergraduate level. Roots School System has a nationwide network of nearly 45 campuses and its presence has spread to major cities across Pakistan; its population of students has now reached more than 15,000.
RSS has announced a purpose-built campus in Islamabad. RSS has a new campus of Montessori, Junior school and High school in Peshawar. It has further plans to expand its network.
